This is a great wee haven - full of treats as well as healthy options.. Cafe Milano could never disappoint. Reasonably priced , friendly staff.
It would be great if it was open the 7 days. -

I'm not quite sure where this tiny little cafe sprung up from, nor when it landed into the heart of Glasgow's financial center, however I'm pretty glad it did!
I've only visited on a couple occasions, firstly to sample their latte, and then a second visit to try out the excellent value breakfast deal at just £3.
The breakfast deal consists of a very generously filled, freshly baked ciabatta roll with either bacon, sausage or egg and a coffee of your choice.
The ciabatta's are nice and warm, fresh out of the oven in the morning and are very generously filled. Coffees are well prepared using Portioli beans, a very good and reputable coffee brand over in Italy. My only slight complaint perhaps was that my coffee was slightly on the weak side. I think they would benefit from using a smaller cup which means the espresso would be less diluted.
Cafe Milano also does pizza slices, sandwiches and soups over the lunchtime period and is an excellent little place to hide away if you need a break from the office. They also make very good use of the space inside with several tables and booths installed. A nice little gem in the city center, if you can find it however! -

I went here as I know someone who works in it. I need to be honest I'm not sure what I expected. It's actually more than just a sandwich it's a proper nice wee cafe with intimate booths (that can be reserved) etc.
I got a wrap with chicken, peppers & spinach - toasted. It was nice, not hideous processed chicken cubes, but actual chicken that tasted, well, eh, like chicken.
I never stayed to eat in but it looks nice. I'll be back. -

It's rainy in Glasgow now, like really rainy. Due to poor planning, I hadn't done a food shop today, so was in need of some soup due to a freezing office in the closest place possible due to the rain. Cafe Milano ticks both those boxes. It's so often overlooked, due to other establishments in the vicinity.
It's not the biggest onn the inside, 5 tables maximum, but the service is always with a smile. There is a good selection of sandwhices, juice and snacks, as well as 2 soup choices. I opted for a very hearty soup of butternut squash and lentil, which came with a roll for the stellar price of 1.95, including a bag!
Back at my desk and I couldn't have been happier with the soup or warmer! Going to try a coffee next time I fancy a pick me up.
